Welcome to my blog #1, I hope you find this blog an area to relax, sit back, chill and just read some fun, interesting, important blogs that will keep you stress-free and motivated. I hope you enjoy this blog

6 years and counting...

3rd grade, yes when I was just 8 years old, this is when I had first experimented to listen to music while studying for a chapter in science. I vividly remember, that I had a listen to "Martin Garrix- There for you" as my first ever song while studying which is something productive, and there was this sudden burst in energy, dopamine and a sudden dissapearance of stress and anxiety, I remember getting very excited and that day I had studied for 4 hours straight and did not even realize that I had finished my entire science summer holiday homework in one sitting, I jumped out of joy and till that day I havent stopped listening to music while doing something productive or casual, infact I am listening to it right now while I write this blog for you guys!

Heals

“Music can heal the wounds, that medicines cant even touch.”

Even though music is believed to have therapeutic properties, especially in stressful and weak conditions. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is released when we listen to music. Listening to music has a profound effect on the human psyche. According to my own experience, listening to music while preparing for exams really reduced my tension and anxiety. There's no doubt that music has the capacity to help with pain management. According to a research conducted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, individuals having spine surgery were advised, a few hours before their operation, to listen to chosen music till the next day after their surgery. The group experienced much less post- surgery discomfort than a group that did not listen to music. Listening to music can also contribute to relaxation by soothing the autonomic nervous system responsible for controlling automatic or unconscious processes, which takes me to my next point how it helps in a peaceful sleep.

Peaceful, Powerful and a Productive Sleep

“Music makes us sleep not because it is boring, it is because it eases our soul

Music is a strong method of expression. Aside from the fact that it encourages people to dance, it's a simple technique to enhance sleep hygiene, allowing you to fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. As a result of its calming and reassuring effects, music might help you fall asleep. The effects of music on hormone regulation, particularly cortisol, have been documented in several research. When you're stressed and your cortisol levels are high, you'll be more awake and have trouble sleeping. When you listen to music, your cortisol levels go down. Listening to music can also contribute to relaxation by soothing the autonomic nervous system, and as we all know a good sleep is sometimes the most productive thing we can do.

Productivity

“Music is like the engine of a car, it is hidden although is the most important part of a car to enable the car to move, just like that it is the hidden key to efficiency and productivity."

Our adolescent selves insist they can't focus without the dulcet tones of Juice Wrld or Ariana Grande ringing in our ears. As Karen Landay, a former professional violinist and PhD student at the University of Alabama, writes in a book review, "Music and work have always been linked throughout society's history. In your mind, picture peasants singing while they harvest or sailors working on their ships while they sing. That music must have a good influence on our job is a no-brainer. Music has increased productivity since time inmemorial. personally I have experienced this as I did a test to prove that music enhances productivity by learning for the 1st Term exams without listening to music while studying and listening to music while studying while preparing for the Term 2 exam and there was a significant difference in the grades of my results in both the Terms, I had done better drastically in Term 2 and thereafter I have been strong on my conviction that music increases the efficiency of work!
